Meadoweld Machine: RS-97 “Nu-Bear”
Rail Saw
Meadoweld’s Model RS-97 “Nu-Bear” provides versatility in
portable, abrasive rail cutting. The
26 to 28 inch abrasive rail saw features a 180°
saw head rotation, mounted on a heavy-duty, precision sealed bearing.
The 65 HP gas engine provides ample power for a square, burr-free
cut on either side of the track without moving the machine.
Widely used by rail flaw detector car crews for quick and efficient
rail replacement. Standard
features include: patented oscillating system, “posi-lock” for quick
and accurate saw head location, improved spindle design, heavy-duty rail
clamps, blade storage compartment, lifting bale, parking brake and a 16
gallon fuel capacity. Optional
pendant controlled power-feed system shown.
It is designed to maximize productivity on any rail maintenance
